Look out for details of Travel-and-Type's residential writing holidays in the south of France to be held in the spring of 2010.
WHERE DO THE WORKSHOPS TAKE PLACE?
Travel-and-Type is the only travel-writing course in Britain that runs regular workshops around the country. This gives you the choice of studying close to home or combining your tuition with a trip to one of several outstanding locations.
Each venue has been selected to complement your day. Whether it's a contemporary city-centre hotel, or stylish country house, every location provides a stunning backdrop to your travel-writing course.
During the day the hotel will provide you with lunch as well as morning and afternoon beverages. All this is included in the course fee.
HOW DO YOU BOOK?
Look at the list of venues on the right of this page. Find a location that suits you and if the date’s convenient sign up for the course by clicking here.
The fee of £150 per person includes a full day's tuition, course materials for you to take away, morning and afternoon beverages and lunch, plus assessment of your future work.
After you've booked online, Travel-and-Type will contact you confirming your place on the course and giving you details about the hotel hosting the day's event.
WHY NOT STAY FOR THE WEEKEND?
If you're coming from some distance, you might want to stay the night. Subject to availability, the hotels will be happy to accommodate you and will make ideal bases from which you can explore the area.
None of them is affiliated to Travel-and-Type, which is an entirely independent organisation. So if you do want to book a room, contact the hotel directly via its website or by phone, both of which will be listed in your confirmation email from Travel-and-Type.
By extending your stay, you can combine a stimulating writing workshop with a relaxing break in a beautiful part of Britain.
You never know, you might feel so inspired you’ll want to write a travel piece about the place.
